The College of Science and Technology celebrates its silver jubilee foundation day on 26^th September, 2026. It is  with immense joy and profound pride that I welcome all our alumni, partners, faculty, staff, students, and well-wishers to join us in celebrating twenty-five years of engineering education, innovation, and national service.
Twenty-five years ago, our founders planted a seed of hope with a bold vision: to build this academic institute a center of excellence in science and technology enriched with GNH values. From thereon, CST has grown into Bhutan’s leading institution for science, technology, and applied research. Over the years, CST has expanded its programmes, strengthened laboratories and research centers, enhanced faculty capacity, nurtured graduates who are contributing significantly to Bhutan’s advancing infrastructure development, renewable energy, ICT systems, and engineering professionalism across the country with core values of integrity, team work, and Gross National Happiness values.
Today, we celebrate our 25 years of achievements and recognize our unwavering collective commitment. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our resourceful faculty and staff, whose passion and innovative teaching and guidance has produced skilled and forward-thinking students. To our alumni, you stand as a testament to the impact of our shared journey; your milestones continue to inspire us. To our current students and their supportive parents and guardians, thank you for your dedication and faith.
This silver jubilee is also our moment to reflect on the opportunities and challenges of the 21^st century. CST remains committed to becoming even more dynamic, research-driven, and innovation-focused institution. We will continue to strengthen international collaborations, industry partnerships, and multidisciplinary teaching and research so that our graduates excel technically while upholding ethical responsibility, environmental stewardship, and the values of service to society.
I warmly invite you to join us in commemorating this significant milestone and renew our shared commitment to engineering excellence and to building a sustainable, innovative future for Bhutan.
